Panchakarma is one of the most effective healing modality in Ayurvedic medicine. It promotes detoxification and rejuvenation. Panchakarma is a Sanskrit word that means “Five actions” or five treatments. These five procedures are claimed to eliminate the vitiated doshas from the body. They are as under:
Vamana (Emesis) Virechana (Purgation)
Nirooha Vasti (Decoction Enema) Anuvasana Vasti (Oil Enema)
Vision:
To impart quality education in the field of ayurvedic specialty of Panchakarma to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Mission:
Application of scientific Panchakarma therapy in crinical practice to relinquish Dohas for core care of disease.
Objectives:
• To develop the awareness of Panchakarma to maintain the health and cure the diseases.
• To provide the Panchakarma serviceS in all classes of society and benefits of 5-H i.e. Hope, Health, Happiness, Holiness, Harmony.
Achievements:
1. Throughout the year, theoretical as well as practical teaching, training, and guidance in the subject of Panchakarma were provided to students of BAMS.
2. Students learned Panchakarma by co-relating Ayurveda and modern concepts, according to the syllabous as per NCISM.
3. Various workshops, seminars, camps were organized for the overall development of the students on behalf of Panchakarma department.
