Kayachikitsa

The subject kaya chikitsa stands for general medicine and established to promote quality education clinical knowledge to the student. It is the first branch amongst the basic eight specialities of ayurveda.

The aim of kayachikitsa (Ayurveda) is swasthasya swasthya rakshanam & vikar prasmanam.

Department –

All charts & flexes are restored in the department of Kaya Chikitsa. All knowledge enhancement displays are well displayed in the Kaya Chikitsa Department.

Departmental Strength:

Young and experienced faculty trained at various national renowed institutions having up-to-date current knowledge of the subject. Department is running and regular OPD & with special high risk clinics.

Vision:

The department envisions to develop a folklore research facility in the institute in collaboration with staff members and alumnus. The knowledge of therapeutic use of single drugs from various sources would be pooled to create a larger database which then be tested and validated scientifically. Thereof, providing growth opportunities for graduates; the result of such studies devises overall development of Ayurvedic science.

Mission

Department of Kaya Chikitsa is pledged to enable the students to diagnose the patients and medicines is used to cure disease thus, reducing the burden on patients and to be versatile in clinical practice by switching to alternative drugs in absentia of a particular drug.

Achievements:

1. To provide teaching facilities to the students by which they can understand classical and contemporary areas relevant to Kaya Chikitsa in a better way.
2. Students were tought Ayurveda and modern clinical practical classes in OPD according to the syllabus.
3. Various workshops and seminars were organized for the overall development of the students on behalf of Kaya Chikitsa Department.
